PostSubject: A beginner chess book that explains theory and not just tactics?   Fri Mar 30, 2012 1:07 am

I'm looking for an introductory book to chess tactics, especially one that will talk about the theory behind various moves and not just list them. In other words a book that can get me thinking about chess in the right way, instead of just memorizing thousands of plays - one that will teach me overall themes.
